Project Category: Round 20

Deep Space Mining Corp.

Deep Space Mining Corp. is an interplanetary roguelike deckbuilder where you construct buildings, play combos, and drill out the company’s quota before the crust destabilises.

Target a new planet in each round, quickly deploying buildings and stripping the surface for resources with a game-breaking Balatro-style scoring system, each time weathering harsh conditions including dust storms, solar flares, volcanoes, meteors and ice. Improve your deck between rounds, adding new action cards, buildings, and passive effects, chasing higher and higher resource quotas to satisfy The Company.

Traveller: Vanguard – Boarding Actions in the Fifth Frontier War

Traveller: Vanguard is a turn-based tactical game built around boarding actions. Command elite squads in close-quarters combat aboard enemy capital ships and across hostile alien worlds, breaching airlocks, clearing corridors, and seizing objectives in brutal, methodical turns where one bad move ends a mission.

Two teams. Two maps. One objective. Vanguard’s asymmetric co-op splits your forces across separate battlefields that play out at the same time. One squad fights through a starship while another hunts a critical access code on the planet below, and what one team does changes what the other faces. Neither side can win alone. Coordinate, communicate, and time your moves, or fail together.

Hidden Cars

Admiral Egg Games is building a new hidden object game, with a twist!

With the help of the UK Games Fund, the makers of Hidden Dogs are delighted to bring you… Hidden Cars!

– Explore a British toytown as the assistant to a bumbling mayor.
– Solve the grumbles of the townsfolk by finding cars, cats, stickers, and more!
– Help the mayor fail upwards, from village to the big city.

With Hidden Cars, we’re aiming to bring a fresh perspective to the hidden object genre, and we’re looking forward to getting started!

Pottering

‘Pottering’ is a chill multiplayer gardening game where you revive a garden while messing about with your friends. You and your buddies have been tasked with restoring Lady Marilyn’s neglected garden and doing it up however you like! Either put your pottering heads together and create a masterpiece, or goof off on the job and go exploring instead. Unlock new areas, plants, and tools as you go, and create a perfect (or perfectly chaotic) digital space that’s all your own.

Hatcher’s Hollow

Hatcher’s Hollow is a cosy, creature collector, roguelike inspired by Eastern European folklore.

By day, explore the town, trade eggs and build a reputation for yourself. By night, care for your creatures and defend your sanctuary from poachers.

As time passes the town changes, secrets come to light and dark magic unfolds!

Romania’s folklore is a hidden gem of fantasy. Rich with monsters, magic, and larger than life characters, it blends Balkan, Slavic, and Dacian influences into a world that feels both timeless and excitingly new.

Project Quizzet

A Party Game for PC and Consoles, where 2 to 8 players compete in a, totally real, TV Quiz Show to prove who’s tip top and who’s lost the plot!

Play as a range of compelling and whacky puppets, like a punk rocker you’d see hanging out in Camden or a rascally Red Cap from Scotland!

Little Rippers

Little Rippers is a roguelike deckbuilding mystery game inspired by the feeling of being a kid in the 90s.

The year is 1999 and the hot new playground craze is anything and everything Little Rippers™. The trading cards, the video games, and of course: the Treasure Dex.

The Little Rippers™ Treasure Hunt gives you – a young fan – the chance to discover the location of the secret Goldara card. Collect cards, play in tournaments and find clues hidden across Little Rippers™ licensed products. As you get closer to solving the treasure hunt, your investigation begins to unearth a deeper mystery. There are rumours of a dark secret within Little Rippers™ Co. – another, unpublicised challenge with a much greater prize.

We are taking the depth and mechanical twists – as well as the roguelike formula – of our previous project Cursed Words, and giving it a central narrative and atmospheric hook that lends it emotional and relatable intrigue.

RMF’s Ragdoll Physics Experiments

Welcome to the Facility. You have been selected to participate in a series of important scientific experiments involving industrial gadgetry, household objects and wooden ragdolls whose continued structural integrity is apparently optional.

RMF’s Ragdoll Physics Experiments is a single-player, physics puzzle game set inside a sprawling and deeply questionable testing Facility. Playing as Bluee, you tackle handcrafted challenge rooms, unlock new areas and gradually uncover what is really happening behind the experiments.

Each room presents a clear objective without insisting on a single solution. You might construct a machine, launch a ragdoll towards an unlikely destination, manipulate gravity or discover an unconventional use for an everyday object. Once everything is prepared, pressing GO sets the experiment in motion and physics takes over.

A careful plan may work perfectly. It may also collapse spectacularly. Because failures can be as entertaining as successful solutions, experimentation and consequence sit at the heart of the experience.

Overseeing everything is the Voice of the Facility, an ever-present authority offering instructions, commentary and increasingly questionable reassurance. Hidden rooms, unusual characters and reactive choices slowly reveal that completing the challenges is only part of the story.

Hunt of the Reptorians

Hunt of the Reptorians is a sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder where your ship is your deck. You will fit turrets, shields and other exotic devices to your hull – each one adds cards to your hand. Your crew will level up, which unlocks skill cards of their own. Your deck is the sum of these parts, all working perfectly together to defeat the vile Reptorians.

There is a detailed, crunchy damage system. If you lose a turret, module or crewmember, their card will leave the deck (unless you repair or heal in time). Enemy ships have the same rules – there are no healthbars, just interlocking systems to tactically dissect piece-by-piece. You’re responsible for finding that (not so glowing) weakspot!

Combat is turn-based, but projectiles arrive in real time. This means placement is everything. It’s up to you to make sure your shields, point defense and other defenses are protecting the most important parts of your ship.
